A church for people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds.
You will find a relaxed, contemporary, family church service, following the Biblical principles of the Book of Common Prayer, but adapted to our modern, multicultural society.
Each Sunday we have Bible readings, prayers, songs & hymns, a Kids’ Spot talk during the meeting, followed by the kids leaving for their own Kid’s Church during school term, and a sermon to explain the Word of God and bring it’s life-changing impact to us. We also enjoy loving, genuine relationship with each other, in church and at Morning Tea afterwards, with lunch together every couple of months.
Everyone is welcome, from young to old, of any background or nationality, and at whatever level of spiritual development you may be – investigating the things of God, to those who have followed a life of faith for many years.
SJB Youth meet on Friday evenings 7pm in the church hall behind the main building.
It’s a fun, friendly time of learning about Jesus for high school youth. Great for any youth, from those investigating Jesus to those who have been Christians for a while.
Year 6 students are invited to join from Term 4.
A time to learn and improve English. For people of all backgrounds and all English levels.
English Classes run on Tuesday’s and Wednesdays.
Growth Groups are small groups that meet during the week to learn from the Bible together, pray, encourage and care for one another. They are meant for Christians and their friends to grow in faith, hope and love. People investigating Christianity are also welcome.
Currently, there are groups that meet on:
Market Day, 1st Saturday each month
Once a month, on the first Saturday, we hold a Market Day from 9-11am. We sell second-hand household and personal items at nominal prices as a service to the community. Morning Tea is also provided free. Members of our church are available for a warm and friendly welcome and a chat about anything you’d like, especially any questions you have to find out more about God.
2nd Tuesday each month
We hold a monthly service at the Berala On The Park Nursing Home at 11:00 – 11:45am. It is a wonderful time of song, prayer and hearing God’s Word which brings us light and hope and life. The service is open to all residents, staff and visitors of the Nursing Home as well as volunteers wanting to serve the Berala On The Park community. Please email or phone for more information.
