Although this has been a very difficult time, it has also been a time of rich, deep experience of the Power of True Hope found in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Join us for this time of personal reflection and discovery.

How Sweet the Sound

December 14, 2011 (by St James Berala)

Amazing Grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now am found
Was blind but now I see

So many people know the hymn. But why is God’s grace so amazing?

When John Newtown penned the words of this song, it flowed out of a deep, joyful appreciation for the grace of God to save him and sustain him. Today, the message of God’s grace through Jesus Christ still brings the power of God’s salvation to thirsty, hungry souls. When a person discovers the true meaning of God’s grace, even the sound of the word is sweet. This series, leading up to and including Christmas, is an opportunity to rejoice in this grace and share it with those who haven’t yet discovered it.

11th Dec    How Sweet The Sound #1: Andy Chung        Luke 18:9-14, Romans 5:1-5
18th Dec    How Sweet The Sound #2: Andy Chung        2 Sam 9:1-13, Romans 5:6-11
